We've had a couple of very busy years at Penderels Trust.  As well as celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2018, we moved to new larger offices which had been a long term aim for the organisation.  Our move has enabled us to bring all our Coventry-based staff back under one roof with space to both accommodate future expansion and to provide excellent training and meeting facilities. 

We successfully recruited two new Trustees in 2019 but are still seeking a Finance Trustee.  

Responsibilities of the Finance Trustee

• To assist the strategic development of Penderels Trust and provide financial oversight.
• To ensure that Penderels Trust's finances are responsibly managed/invested for the betterment of the organisation's work and for the beneficiaries it serves.
• To lead the Board's duty to ensure financial resources are controlled, invested and economically spent in line with governance, legal and regulatory requirements.
• To assist in the development and implementation of financial reserves, cost management and investment policies.

Skills and Qualities of the Finance Trustee

Essential

• Financial qualifications with proven commercial awareness and knowledge.
• Ability to communicate and explain financial information to members of the Board and other stakeholders.

Desirable

• Knowledge of charity SORP and impending changes
