I am a young lady with cerebral palsy living in the Abbeydale area of Gloucester surrounded by my family and friends.
I like to get out and about and live life to the full. I have some mobility; I am able to get around the house independently but when out and about I need to use a wheelchair either manual or electric (usually electric).
I am able to get up in the mornings and to go to bed independently.
In the day I like to get out and about. I love shopping, going for a walk and/ or just out for coffee. I love having my nails painted every week. I like to watch TV in the day and spend time with my family. I also enjoy going to church with my family.
Assist me with toileting
Assist me to shower and dress
Make bed and change when required
Prepare snacks and drinks as required
Assist me to get ready for bed; with my bed time routine and undressing.
Assist me to attend social events and leisure activities
Any other assistance of a similar nature to the duties described above.
You must be female*(Female)(Sex Discrimination Act Section 7 (2) (b) (ii) applies) You must be a non-smoker
Previous experience of care-work is preferred
You must be kind, considerate and patient
You must be flexible and comfortable using your initiative
You must respect my privacy and confidentiality at all times
Full training for the duties of the job will be provided.
