This post is to support a young man who has Autism and ADHD.
He requires assistance to enable him to attend a local group on a Friday evening, and to also enable him to access a range of social activities within the community.
The young man is very friendly and enjoys a range of activities including going to Chester, watching movies at the cinema and going for drives.
The support is required to enable the young man to access a range of social and recreational activities including attending a local group whilst promoting the gentleman's independence.
He will require assistance with aspects of his daily living such as supporting him at meal times.
You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
It would be preferred for applicants to have previous experience in a related role.
As the role involves supporting the young man to access social and recreational activities, you will need to have access to your own transport and a full, clean driving license.
In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills, keep up to date with professional development as any necessary training can be provided.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered)
Friday and Sunday.
