Personal Assistants

Location: St Giles area of Lincoln, East Rate of Pay: £9.00 per hour

Hours per Week: Personal care: 1 hour per day in the morning and 1.25 hours in the evening. Also up to 10 hours p/w social inclusion.

About the Employer

To provide support and personal care for a 21 year old male from the St Giles area of Lincoln, who has a physical disability and uses a manual and powered wheelchair.

Summary of Duties

He will need a team of carers as at any one time 2 carers are needed to support with transfers (using a ceiling track hoist), dressing and undressing and all aspects of personal care. Support with breakfast and medication, showering and washing as required.  

Social care will be 1 carer to support going to watch football matches, to go shopping and to the cinema. You will be required to drive my manual mobility vehicle. 

The Person They Are Looking For

Previous experience of personal care and Moving & Handling training would be an advantage; you should have a genuine interest in supporting people.

You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.

You should be hardworking, reliable, honest, patient and be committed to the role

A full driving license will be required for driving my vehicle.

Flexibility would be an advantage as extra hours may be available – this will be discussed at the interview.

A DBS check will be required for this position.

The Times Required

To cover every day for 1 hour from 8.30am to 9.30am and 1.25 hours from 10.00pm to 11.15pm.

Social hours to be discussed at interview.
