Opening the door to independent living
14
Mission Statement
To enable people with disabilities
to live independent lives in
the community
We continue to look at new ways to
provide services with specialist advice
and support to different user groups.
We have recently entered into a
partnership arrangement with national
charity KIDS (www.kids.org.uk) – this
enables us to share their expertise in
working with children with disabilities
and their families. We look forward to a
positive relationship with them over the
next 12 months as they work
alongside us in Croydon and Cumbria.
With more and more people accessing
personal budgets, health authorities
and primary care trusts promoting
personalised services for the first time
and a new open marketplace for direct
payment providers, the next 12
months will continue to be as exciting,
thought provoking and challenging as
the year that preceded them. Thank
you to all the staff and trustees of
Penderels Trust who continue to make
the organisation such a success – and
thank you to all those people who use
our services and help us continually
develop and improve.
