Peer support groups are informal groups that are run by people who use our services.

Peer groups are made up of people who use Penderels Trust services.  They meet regularly (usually once every three months) to discuss issues around direct payments, the service we provide them and how we can move these services forward.

In addition, many peer support groups invite other people to talk about things relevant to them or simply someone to entertain them!  Visitors have included the fire and rescue service, a travel company, a holistic therapist and the social care team from the local authority.

Everyone who uses our services is welcome to join their local peer support group.  Please contact your local office to find out if there is an active peer group in your area.  If there isn't, then why not start one?

Contact your local team or visit our Facebook or Twitter pages to find out about upcoming sessions

Online sessions

Many of our sessions currently take place online via Zoom. If you would like to join our sessions but you're unsure of how to use Zoom you can watch a video by clicking here that will guide you through it. You can also read a Guide that you can find below.

Facebook Groups

We also have peer support Facebook groups for Personal Assistants and Direct Payment Recipients which are an opportunity to ask others any questions and keep up-dated with local information. To see if there is one in your area, have a look at the flyer below.
