About the employer

I am looking for a PA to support me to enjoy all of the opportunities that life has to offer and has experience with Autisum which is implortant to myself and my family.

My main interests are collecting and building Lego, Marvel and DC characters and movies, and video games but I also enjoy going to the gym and bowling.   

I have cats and live at home with my family.  I’m looking for someone that can help me to develop my skills and maximise my independence and this person should be understanding of the challenges that being autistic can bring.  

Looking for someone who can support me while I attend my gym class and then bowling in the evening and a couple of hours on a Saturday times to be arranged.

About the role

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
  • Support with food shopping.
  • Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
  • Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
  • Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
  • Develop a good and trusting one-to-one working relationship.
Evidence of the ability to be calm and resilient whilst under pressure and to remain optimistic and persistent. • Understanding the importance of seeking guidance and support when required.

The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Transport requirement

Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
