About the employer

I am both the employer and service user. I have a diagnosis of Autism and Mental health issues associated to high anxiety and suffer bouts of low mood. I live independently and I am able to manage all aspects of my independence within my home, I am however very isolated due to anxiety and do not venture outside without being accompanied. This has an impact on my mental health, so I am seeking to employ a PA to offer support and enable me to access the community, engaging in normal day to day tasks and provide me some companionship. The PA will be required to prompt, encourage and motivate me in maintaining my home to a good standard and managing appointments and my diary. Initially the support will be home based, until a relationship can be developed and gradually helping me build my confidence to venture outdoors, encouraging me to access the community and in the longer term assist and support me to look for employment or otherwise. I have a passion for reading, I am extremely tech savvy and educated to University level, however my anxiety and paranoia can impact greatly on my mood and potentially restricts my ability to access social environments.
