Older lady who's main language is Punjabi or Urdu but can understand Hindi so ideally looking for someone who is able to speak one of these languages. Diagnosis of dementia and mobility issues but is able to move around the home but will need to use her wheelchair when going out. Jolly, bubbly and happy lady who likes to have a good chat enjoys having company to talk about her life experiences and family sharing her memories which helps her to remember. Encouragement needed to get her out of bed, dressed and doing some form of activity. Likes to go out in the car for a short drive and even a cheeky trip to McDonald's for a milkshake.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure. Costs will be covered.
