Very friendly, chatty and outgoing lady in her mid-50’s looking for a female support worker with a similar personality who can support a visually impaired lady in her own home. I also have spinal and nerve damage which can affect my mobility, but I do have a mobility scooter for when I am out in the community. I try to live as independently as I can but require assistance with some day-to-day tasks. I am a big advocate in animal welfare and run cat shows so you need to be an animal lover or not afraid to be around animals especially because I am awaiting an assessment for a new guide dog. Non-smoker is important due to health issues. Days are flexible but they will always start at 9am.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure. Costs will be covered.
