About the employer

I'm looking for a Personal Assistant to support me to access the community, take part in activities I enjoy, and build my confidence and independence. I am autistic and can sometimes find busy places and loud noises overwhelming, so I'm looking for someone who is calm, patient, understanding, and happy to support me at my own pace. A quiet and reassuring personality is important to me. I enjoy gaming, anime, and Pokémon GO, so it would be great if you share some of these interests or are happy to get involved in them with me. The role will involve: • Supporting me to access community activities and outings. • Encouraging my independence and confidence. • Providing reassurance when I need it. • Respecting my preferences, routines, and personal boundaries.

About the role

Duties and responsibilities

To encourage and support me in accessing the community
Applicants must be aged 18 or over for this role.
  • You will be required to administer medication.

The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure. Costs will be covered.

Transport requirement

Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
