I am a 37 year old lady who is a wheelchair user, and I am looking for a female PA to support me to access the gym and to go swimming. The PA must be a driver/car owner with a boot big enough to fit my wheelchair. I am looking for support to improve my fitness, to lose weight, and to build my confidence when accessing community facilities, particularly the gym. Due to my current support needs I require assistance from a Personal Assistant to access these activities safely and consistently. I am self sufficient, but due to Fibromyalgia and other health issues, I get tired easily so I will need support with dressing and changing clothes before and after activities. I may also need support with emptying my stoma while out of the house.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure. Costs will be covered.
