I am a 54 year old female with a mild learning disability and cerebral palsy which affects my right side, this does effect my balance, walking and the ability to grip items, I need the use of a wheelchair when going outdoors. I would like someone to support me mainly with going out shopping and then helping me to pack this away, there will be occasion when some personal care assistance may be required. I require an additional person to support me for approximately 8 hrs per week, times and days to be agreed, respite and holiday cover is available.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure. Costs will be covered.
Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training considered necessary and appropriate to the role.
