About the employer

I am both the employer and father to my daughter who has been allocated PA support provision via a direct payment scheme My daughter is registered as Deaf, is visually impaired and has some mobility issues that affect her balance. She will require assistance when walking to limit any stumbles or falls. My daughter will require a PA who is trained at a minimum of Level 3 BSL to aid in communication when providing her care and support I am seeking a PA to provide my daughter with 1-1 support to access social activities within the community, encourage and develop her socialisation and independence. My daughter loves being active and enjoys keeping busy. She likes going for walks, shopping, having her nails done and day trips She enjoys travelling on public transport by bus and the metro, however, a PA with access to a car is essential as this will allow more opportunities to access activities further afield and within the time constraints of the hours allocated. The role of the PA is to aid, support and befriending role to my daughter. A companion to enable her to build a relationship with someone other than a family member, who may encourage her to try new things, experiences and promote her independence and build upon her social network. Due to my daughters hearing impairment she will always require supervision.
