About the employer

We are looking for a warm, patient, and understanding Buddy to support a funny, kind-hearted young man who loves football and enjoys keeping busy. A proud Liverpool supporter, he plays for two local football teams and has a real passion for the game. He is curious about the world around him, enjoys learning new things, and benefits from spending time with people who can help make life interesting, enjoyable, and fun. For this young man, building trust is key. He needs time to get to know new people and to feel safe and comfortable in their company. The right person will be patient, consistent, and willing to develop a relationship at his pace, understanding that strong connections are built over time. We are looking for someone who is calm, emotionally regulated, and able to provide neuroaffirming support that celebrates and respects who he is. You will understand the importance of creating an environment where he feels accepted, valued, and able to be himself. Equally important is knowing when to chat and encourage engagement, and when to step back and simply offer a reassuring presence. This role would suit someone who enjoys being active and has plenty of ideas for activities. Supporting him to access the community, spend time with others, try new experiences, and pursue his interests will be a big part of the role. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to share new opportunities could make a real difference to his confidence, independence, and enjoyment of life. If you are kind, energetic, and looking for a rewarding role where you can build a meaningful relationship and help a wonderful young person thrive, we would love to hear from you
