About the employer

I am mum to a 30 year old lady who has severe anxiety and autism, which often prevent her from leaving her home environment. I am looking for a kind, caring, calm, and patient PA to support my daughter preferably in the afternoons, and to build her confidence and social skills so she feels comfortable to go out without me. She would love to do a regular yoga class or a dance class, but her severe anxiety currently prevents her from doing activities like this. My daughter does not have any challenging behaviour and she is highly intelligent, creative and artistic. She enjoys jewellery making and walking around the farm where we live. My daughter is actively involved with the Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) service, who will continue to work alongside her and her future PA to provide consistent and coordinated support. The aim of this joint approach is to gradually build her confidence, reduce anxiety-related barriers, and support her to access community activities at a pace that feels safe and manageable for her. In addition to community access support, my daughter would benefit from prompting and encouragement to initiate everyday tasks within the home. She can find it difficult to begin tasks independently, particularly household activities such as tidying and cleaning. A PA would be able to provide reassurance, motivation, and practical support to help her get started with these tasks, promoting her independence, developing routines, and increasing her confidence in managing daily living activities.
