I am registered blind and have a guide dog which will need to go with me when you support me so with this in mind you must be willing to work with my guide dog and allow her in your vehicle. I live independently in my own home with my husband.
This could be one PA or 2 sharing hours
Some flexibility required around accompanying to medical appointments
To provide a service of communication, social and escorted assistance to enable a severely sighted impaired woman to have greater independence and quality of life.
To escort the employer to activities outside the home according to the employer’s choice.
To support with making arrangements for appointments, visits and other activities as directed by the employer.
To support with college attendance and to help with carrying and transporting of bags to the car. To undertake any other college duties as appropriate such as reading information out to Employer.

Job share considered
Knowledge of social care work and understanding of the support required for a visually impaired person
To have an easy going personality.
Must own a car and have a full driving licence with car able to transport employer and guide dog and feel confident driving on motorways and main roads
Be honest, reliable and trustworthy
Able to work flexibly and follow instructions.
Good sense of humour
You will also need to respect privacy and have an understanding of confidentiality in all areas of your work
Monday 9-4pm approx. 8 hours
Friday flexible 3 hours
Some flexibility required for the other 4 hours per week
Monday - college support.
Friday morning social/community support
Plus 4 flexible hours per week, occasionally on a Saturday or Sunday
