About the Employer

I am a young man with no sight at all.  I live independently in my own bungalow and need support to do so with all aspects running my home.

Summary of Duties

The duties will include:

  • prepare meals for me
  • support to do my laundry/ironing
  • to assist me to access social activities such as attending the Pub with me on a Wednesday evening
  • to provide light cleaning around my home


My needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You may be required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to your role.

The Person They Are Looking For

Previous experience is not essential however you should have a genuine interest in supporting people.

You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Car Owner and full driving licence essential (business insurance required), you will be required to use your car to take me to social activities.

The Times Required

Tue: PM/Evening – 2hr

Wed: PM/Evening – 3hr

Thu: PM/Evening – 1hr

Sat: AM – 1.75hr and PM/Evening – 1hr

Sun: AM – 1.75hr and PM/Evening – 1hr
