I am an elderly lady with dementia and very little mobility. I live in my own home with the support of my carers and family. I need support with all aspects of my daily living and a hoist must be used when I’m being moved from the bed to the chair and toilet in my home.
The summary of duties include:
My/the needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You may be required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to your role.
I am looking for someone who has previous care experience, preferably experience of working with people with dementia.
The following training is mandatory Moving and Handling and First Aid and will be provided to the successful applicant.
You will ideally have some flexibility towards working hours as additional hours will be available to cover annual leave and illness.
You must be aged 18 and above as you will be required to administer medication.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Wed, Thurs, Friday evening 430pm to 9pm
And every other Saturday night 9pm to 11am
Additional hours available on request, working days and times will be discussed at interview.
