I am gentleman living in Amber Valley, looking to recruit 2 Personal Assistants. I am profoundly visually and hearing impaired and require support to live independently and access my community.

 


Summary of Duties

The duties include;

  • Cooking
  • Light house duties
  • Support to access my community
  • Support with checking food dates and shopping
  • Support with medication
  • Support with managing paperwork and correspondence
  • Prompt and support me to complete task
  • Support me to attend appointments e.g. hospitals etc.

You will be required to use your car to take to me to appointments and to social activities.

My/the needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You may be required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to your role.


The Person They Are Looking For

The person we are looking for must be reliable, caring, practical, trustworthy and patient.

You will be responsive, have good communication skills and be punctual.

Should be able to follow instruction and use their initiative.

Applicants with First aid training are preferred, but this is not essential because training can be provided.

You must able to show initiative and have a willingness to adapt to changes in my care needs.

You will be working in my home so you must maintain confidentiality and respect my privacy.

Car Owner and full driving licence preferred (business insurance required), you may need to use your vehicle to take me out in the community.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

The Times Required

Days and Times required are:

 

Wednesday: 4:00pm-7:00pm

Friday: 3:00pm-6:00pm

Sunday: 3:00pm-6:00pm

 

Total hours will be shared between 2 PAs and will be discussed further at interview.
