Hourly Rate of pay: £12.25 per hour per hour plus access to a pension scheme if eligible and Annual Leave pay
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 21.5 hours

About the Employer

I am a female that lives in my own home. I have disabilities which affect my independent living. I require someone to support me at home and in the community.

To carry out domestic duties in the home to a very high standard, including washing and ironing, hoovering, getting clothes ready, change bed linen, mopping, bleaching, dusting and any other house duties I identify.

To provide a small amount of personal care; this includes supporting me in and out of my shower/wet room facility.

Assistance with dressing and getting ready

Assist with social support and taking me out in the community.

And plus social interaction including appointments that may need to be attended

You must have a full clean driving licence and be prepared to drive my car- this will be available for use when I require your support, however if you live locally, you will not need to drive

To be able to identify any risks or issues that may affect me and my quality of life.

As my needs vary due to the complexity of my illness my mobility changes from day to day and this must be a consideration

To undertake any training that is necessary and appropriate for the role.

As my needs may vary from day to day, your tasks will reflect this.  You may be required to perform any other duties as is reasonably required.

 

The applicant must able to adapt to my changing needs, confident enough to prepare my medication and make light snacks and drinks.

Therefore the applicant must possess:

Good health and good level of fitness, reliable, trustworthy,

good sense of humour, able to work on own initiative and able to follow instructions accurately

Be Legally entitled to work in the U.K

Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support with food shopping.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
• Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.

Transport Requirement


Full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle, for insurance purpose you must be
