About the employer I am the employer and father to my son who has a diagnosis of Autism and learning difficulties. My son has limited vocabulary, however, can use single words and uses hand over hand to guide others to what he wants or would like. He requires prompt and some support for personal care. My son is extremely vulnerable and is not able to identify risks to himself, so will require someone to always provide close supervision. My son is generally isolated and spends all his free time at home. He enjoys being alone and can occupy himself, often within in his own bubble. He is extremely confident and able with technology, using tablets, TV etc.: however, would benefit greatly from being encouraged to get out and about, providing him opportunities to gain some independence from family and try new things within the community. He loves most things associated to sensory play, playing with sand and water or going swimming, accessing sensory activities or venues, He enjoys being outdoors and being active. I am seeking a PA to support and provide my son access to the community with 1-1 supervision. This will allow him time away from the home and encourage his social interaction with others.
