About the Employer

I am a 59 year old man suffering from a severe spinal injury (Quadriplegic), Been paralysed since 19 years old after a car accident. I am a non smoker but have brothers who smoke outside but not in the house.I have good sense of humour and personality and easy going. I live in an extension on the side of family home and have a younger brother as my main carer in daily life.The job is to work on alternate weekend mornings for 1 hour and 25 minutes each morning on a Saturday and Sunday. Start time from 9am but can be flexible to earlier start time or a little later. The job involves washing, dressing and getting up each morning into my wheelchair. It is a permanent role so you will get holiday time in hours. I need a reliable and trusting person.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.

Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position as you will be required to administer medication.


The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Required Training
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role.

Moving and Handling. Training will be provided by the employer.I do have a supa pubic catheter so use a night bag at night then change to a leg bag in the daytime. My brother changes my catheter every 4 weeks unless i have a blockage. He will change when needed.
