About the Employer

This role is to support a 45-year-old lady, who has just had a kidney transplant, and lives in her own home with her husband, who works full time. They have 2 adult kids, 1 living independently, and the other about to finish Uni. The lady currently uses crutches to walk around the house and a wheelchair when going outside, although physio are involved to help to rebuild her strength, with the hope to help her to be less reliant on walking aids in the future. She has regular (sometimes weekly), medical appointments, often at Leicester General Hospital, while she recovers from her kidney transplant. This lady is very outgoing, and loves being creative when she is able. Her hope is that as her health improves, she will be able to become more independent, although this may take some time. Apart from when there are medical appointments, times are very flexible and can be discussed at interview. *Please be aware as a transplant patient this lady is immunocompromised, and currently on a high dose of immunosuppressants, which means she is likely to catch all bugs very easily, and even a cold could need hospital attention. There maybe times you are required to wear a mask, (masks will be provided), to reduce the risk of infection.
