About the Employer

I am a 34 year old lady looking to employ a PA to assist and support me with day-to-day tasks, personal care, domestic duties and cooking, as well as companionship and support to engage me in my local community. I suffered a back injury in 2024 which has not healed properly and resulted in a bulging disc at the bottom of my spine, compression of the lower spine, bone spurs, spinal stenosis and I also suffer with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). This impacts greatly on my mobility and ability to manage general tasks due to the severe pain this causes. I require crutches and a wheeled walker for indoor mobility and a wheelchair for outdoor mobility. Due to my disability, I am unable to carry out certain tasks due to my mobility being restricted and my physical actions being slow, and this sometimes impacts my ability to cook meals for my children. I am therefore seeking a PA to provide support to assist me in improving daily duties routines. I am looking for a personal assistant who has flexibility and experience in the care sector. The candidate should show initiative and enthusiasm and have a good sense of humour. They must be physically fit to manage my personal care needs and to handle me in my wheelchair. Tasks will include, preparing meals and a packed lunch, assisting me with the personal care, helping me in and out of the bath, hair washing and dressing. Assisting me to attend appointments and supporting me when out and about. Supporting me to maintain my home to a clean and tidy standard for me and my children. Support me on social activities and assistance to engage in my local community, and to support me with shopping/ social/ day opportunities to reduce isolation and low mood. I am looking for someone who is flexible, are reliable and committed to providing consistency and care. Someone with good communication skills and a friendly nature. Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
