Location: Stratford-upon-Avon, Midlands Rate of Pay: £11.00 per hour plus up to 60 miles per week mileage at 40 pence per mile

Hours per Week: 6 hours per week

About the Employer

I am looking for a PA to help support me top access my local community and social activities as well as helping me with my shopping one a week. I live in my own home and have been living with mental health issues and OCD for some years now and ideally need a proactive PA who has experience in this area of care. I have many different interests and I am looking to find a PA who has similar interests and has a flexible approach to the role.

My interest include DIY and gardening, Horses, Aquarium’s and I find Koi carp very interesting as I use to fish when I was younger, ultimately I would like support to get back into this at some point. I also have a keen interest in Agriculture and farm animals as well as Railways, football and formula one. I enjoy a variety of music especially older music such as the Beatles but also ranging to classical music. I also enjoy watching Coronation street.  

Summary of Duties

I am looking for a Mental Health Support Worker and your role will be to empower me to achieve and maintain control over my life in an environment, which promotes participation within and contribution to, the local community. Also to negotiate with me in shaping a comprehensive support package that is tailored to my individual needs and potential.

  • Support to maintain hobbies
  • Be able to identify any risks/issues to myself and/or others around me.
  • Access any appropriate training

The Person They Are Looking For

  • At least one years’ experience of working with people with Mental Health Issues.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients, carers and professional agencies
  • Ability to organise own workload on a daily basis.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
  • The post holder will need an understanding of risk management and how this relates to the role.
  • You will be patient, supportive and encouraging whilst promoting independence.
  • You we have a flexible approach to the hours

The Times Required

Thursdays & Fridays.

Exact times required are flexible, able to work round the right applicant.
