• Monday, 10am till 3
• Wednesday, 10am till 3pm
• Friday, 10am till 1pm
Dates and times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.

About the Employer

Job share considered – Would you like to gain experience with Autism, communication and sensory needs?  You could be part of a team to support 2 adult brothers.    Applicants need to be friendly, positive and observant to ensure each young man makes the most of their life.  Experience in caring would be desirable however having someone who is understanding, patient and kind and has a willingness to help support us will be considered. 

We need someone who will be energetic and enjoy visiting National Trust properties to share walks in nature, picnics, shopping, exercise including swimming, visiting cafes, museums, cinema, and music.  To physically help to prepare making snacks and lunch, to help organise, encourage and support in some household tasks and daily routines.  Will need to develop a trusting working relationship.  The successful applicant will be eased into the role with some training and a gradual introduction to the family.

 

Mon – Fri 3 hours per day 10- 1pm £12.50 per hour     

Mon and Weds 5 hours per day 10 – 3pm £11.90 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support with food shopping.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
• Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
• Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.



The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Transport Requirement

Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.

• Be self-motivated with a willingness to get involved.
• Have a lively personality.
