Hi, I’m Jolande (Yo-Land-Ah) I’m a Mom, actor, writer and creative, so life is usually a mixture of family, scripts, random creative ideas and whatever my current hyperfixation happens to be! I’m chatty, funny, direct and very much a “just say what you mean” kind of person. Being a mom is a big part of my life, and depending on the day, my PA may also help with things like school runs and family routines. My children’s privacy and boundaries are really important to me, so discretion and professionalism around my family are a must. I live with several long-term health conditions, so I need some practical support day-to-day. That doesn’t mean I want someone taking over my life though — I’m fiercely independent and like to stay in control of my own choices. I’m looking for someone who can support me without making me feel like a patient. I love good conversation, cooking, films, music, fragrances, anime and a good laugh. I’m also a bit particular about how I like things done, so being observant, adaptable and comfortable with me saying “actually, can we do it this way?” is important! Most importantly, I’m looking for someone kind, reliable and genuinely comfortable being themselves. If you’re warm, have a sense of humor and can roll with the unexpected, we’ll probably get on just fine.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
• Support with food shopping.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
• Support with managing paperwork & correspondence.

Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position as you will be required to administer medication.
