News from Penderels Trust

Join our Board of Trustees

9th October 2026

We are seeking new trustees who can bring additional skills, experience and perspectives to our Board.

We are a national charity supporting people with disabilities to live independently. As we enter an important period of change, including significant digital and systems development and wider work across our organisation and workforce, our trustees will play an important role in helping guide our future direction.

Who are we looking for?

We would like to hear from people from a range of professional and personal backgrounds.

We are particularly interested in experience in areas including:

  • HR and People
  • governance
  • change management
  • digital transformation

However, these are not the only backgrounds we value. We also welcome expressions of interest from people who can bring other relevant professional expertise or lived experience to our Board.

Previous trustee experience is not essential. What matters is that you can bring your experience, perspective and judgement to Board discussions, work collaboratively with others and share our commitment to supporting people to live independently.

What does being a trustee involve?

Trustees work alongside our senior management team to help shape the services and future direction of Penderels Trust, provide constructive challenge and oversight, and contribute to important decisions about the organisation.

Board meetings are held every two months and are mainly virtual, although trustees may occasionally be asked to attend meetings at our head office in Coventry.

You can find out more about Penderels Trust, the trustee role and the support available to trustees in our Trustee Recruitment Pack.

You can also learn more about our current Board and governance arrangements on our Governance page.
