Have Your Say: Adult Social Care Workforce Survey

Skills for Care is encouraging personal assistants (PAs) across England to share their experiences of working in adult social care through the 2026 Adult Social Care Workforce Survey.

PAs play an important role in supporting people to live independently, with choice and control over their lives. However, PAs are currently under-represented in survey responses, and it is important that their experiences and views are heard.

Commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care, the survey aims to build a clearer picture of working life in adult social care and help inform future decisions about the sector.

The survey covers a range of topics, including:

• Wellbeing and workload
• Pay and working conditions
• Learning and development
• Feeling valued at work

The survey takes around 20 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential and will not be shared with employers. Findings will be reported anonymously.
